Fayetteville Fire Fighters Association Endorses Bond

We’re excited to learn that the members of Fayetteville Firefighters Local 2866 have UNANIMOUSLY endorsed the city’s plan to Build Fayetteville’s Future!

On March 3, Fayetteville voters will decide whether to continue an existing one-cent sales tax to fund $335 million in city improvements without raising taxes.

Question 9 on the ballot would provide more than $18 million for Fire and Public Safety. The bond would fund construction of a new fire station, a modern training facility, and updated equipment to support faster response times and better protection for residents and businesses across Fayetteville. A well-equipped, well-trained fire department is essential to a growing city.

Jimmy Vinyard, President of Fayetteville Firefighters Local 2866, said, “We strongly believe that Mayor Rawn, the City Council, and city staff have thoughtfully developed a plan that supports continued growth while prioritizing public safety. We support the proposed investment in the City’s infrastructure and want to emphasize that this plan comes at no additional cost to taxpayers.”
