Question 5: Pedestrian Pathways & Trails

Sidewalks and trails can connect us to schools, parks, jobs, and services. But there are too many places in Fayetteville that have gaps. A walkable city is a connected city.

On March 3, 2026, Fayetteville voters will decide whether to continue the existing one-cent sales tax to invest $335 million in city improvements, WITHOUT RAISING TAXES.

Question 5 focuses on pedestrian infrastructure to make the city safer for everyone, including kids and seniors. Key improvements include new sidewalks in high-need areas, replacing aging asphalt trails with durable concrete, and adding accessible ramps, safer crossings, and curb extensions. This bond brings us closer to a city where everyone has safe, comfortable ways to get around.
