Fayetteville Aquatic Recreation Center Concept Images

We’re excited to get our first look at conceptual images of Fayetteville’s proposed Aquatic Recreation Center.

These images were first unveiled at the Mayor’s State of the City address. They offer an early look at what the facility could include, such as an indoor lap pool with spectator seating for lessons and team practice, plus family-friendly aquatic features and space for community programming. These are conceptual images, and a final site and design have not yet been selected.

On March 3, Fayetteville voters will decide whether to continue an existing one-cent sales tax to fund city improvements, without raising taxes. Question 8 would fund an Aquatics Recreation Center, with indoor and outdoor pools and other recreation spaces.

Right now, Fayetteville is the only major city in Northwest Arkansas without a year-round public pool. A year-round public aquatic facility means affordable swim lessons close to home, better access for therapy and low-impact exercise for seniors and people with disabilities, and consistent practice space for students and teams. It also means families can stay active together year-round.

Early voting starts Tuesday, February 17. Vote FOR all questions 1-9.
